909s OFF NIMITZ, a Lei Culture cover story shot by Vincent Bercasi. an editorial inspired by hawaii’s queer nightlife around the illegal warehouse raves thrown in kalihi, chinatown and honolulu in the 90s. most of the places that housed them are either abandoned, repurposed into commercial venues, or torn down completely. @bercasi wanted to imagine these spaces still haunted by that energy, being channeled into the club kids of honolulu’s present.
